Research

Research activities at private universities (PTS) in Indonesia play an important role in the development of science, technology, and innovation. Likewise, USI, with all its resource capabilities, is committed to contributing to various research fields in the country. The following are some important points related to research activities at USI:
1. Research Focus:
USI has a research focus tailored to local and regional needs. In accordance with the characteristics of the environment where USI is located, the research focus is on the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
2. Funding Sources:
USI's research funding sources come from internal university funds, government grants (for example through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology), and cooperation with industry or international institutions.
3. Collaboration: To strengthen research capabilities, USI establishes collaboration with other institutions, both domestically and abroad. This collaboration can take the form of researcher exchanges, joint projects, or technology development.
4. Innovation and Publication:
USI encourages lecturers and students to produce innovations that can be applied in industry or society. These research results are usually published in scientific journals, both national and international, and presented at seminars and conferences.
