LPPM USB YPKP Holds Signing of Kemdiktisaintek 2026 Grant Contract and Launching of Study Center and IPR Center


Bandung, 18 May 2026 — Universitas Sangga Buana (USB) YPKP, through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), held the Signing of the Kemdiktisaintek Grant Contract for Fiscal Year 2026 and the Launching of Study Centers and the Intellectual Property Center (Sentra HKI) at the Multipurpose Building (GSG) of Universitas Sangga Buana, Monday (18/5). This activity is part of strengthening the research culture, innovation downstreaming, and the development of an academic ecosystem based on research and community service within USB YPKP.

The event was attended by the rectorate ranks, supervisors and administrators of the Education Foundation for Finance and Banking (YPKP), grant recipient teams, and the study center and Sentra HKI teams.

The activity began with remarks from the Chair of the YPKP Foundation, Dr. R. Ricky Agusiady, S.E., M.M., Ak., CFrA., CHRM., remarks from the Rector of USB YPKP, Dr. Didin Saepudin, S.E., M.Si., and direction from the LPPM Director, Dr. Nenny Hendajany, S.Si., S.E., M.T.

In his remarks, the Rector emphasized the importance of the transformation of universities toward a research university that not only focuses on learning, but also produces innovations that have a real impact on society and economic development. In line with this, USB YPKP continues to encourage the strengthening of research, scientific publications, innovation downstreaming, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to improve the institution's competitiveness at both national and global levels.

The Director of LPPM USB YPKP, Dr. Nenny Hendajany, S.Si., S.E., M.T., explained that this activity is a strategic step in building a more integrated research ecosystem, from strengthening grant proposals, forming research groups, to developing study centers and Sentra HKI as a platform for downstreaming academic works.

Based on the LPPM presentation, USB YPKP's Kemdiktisaintek grant achievements in 2026 showed a significant increase compared to previous years. A total of 8 proposals succeeded in obtaining funding, consisting of research and community service (PKM) schemes. The total grant funding obtained reached more than Rp817 million.

Besides the grant contract signing, this activity was also combined with the launching of two new study centers, namely the Empowered Village Study Center and the Wearable Technology Study Center, as well as the launch of the USB YPKP Intellectual Property Center (Sentra HKI).

In the study center representatives session, remarks were delivered by the Head of the Wearable Technology Study Center, Dr. Hartuti Mistialustina, S.T., M.T. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of developing applied technology-based research capable of answering industry and community needs, especially in the development of wearable devices and multidisciplinary-based smart technologies.

Meanwhile, the establishment of the USB YPKP Sentra HKI is the university's initial step in strengthening the protection and management of the academic community's intellectual property. In its pioneering process, the Sentra HKI team has participated in various workshops, sharing sessions, and exploratory cooperation with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) and various other institutions.

LPPM USB YPKP also presented the process of pioneering the Center of Excellence for Science and Technology of Higher Education (PUI-PT), which had previously been carried out through internal socialization, roadmap preparation workshops, the formation of expertise groups and research groups, and benchmarking activities to several universities, such as Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Universitas Telkom, and Universitas Udayana.

Through this activity, USB YPKP affirmed its commitment to continue strengthening the culture of research, community service, technological innovation, and the downstreaming of research results so as to provide real contributions to society, industry, and national development.
