Bandung, April 2026 – The Tax Center of Universitas Sangga Buana (USB) YPKP again participated in the Tax Volunteer for the Nation (Renjani) Program 2026 as a form of implementing cooperation with the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP). This activity involved 31 students of the S1 Accounting Study Program, classes of 2022 and 2023, who actively played a role in tax reporting assistance and public education.
The Renjani program began with the registration process through the DJP official website in September 2025, followed by a leveling test until November 2025. The results of the volunteer selection and placement were announced in December 2025, where volunteers from the USB YPKP Tax Center were placed at the Pratama Bandung Bojonegara Tax Service Office (KPP).
In its implementation, tax volunteers served from January to April 2026 with a duty rotation system at the KPP, while also opening a “Tax Corner” service within the USB YPKP campus environment from 23 February to 13 March 2026. This service was used by lecturers and staff to file their Annual Personal Income Tax Returns (SPT) more easily and guided.
Student participation in this program not only provided a real contribution in helping taxpayers, but also served as a means of practical learning outside the classroom. The volunteers gained direct experience in understanding the latest tax system, including the use of the Coretax application, as well as facing various problems experienced by taxpayers in the field.
One of the volunteers, Agisya Okta Salsya Bila, said that this activity provided valuable experience in understanding real tax practices, while serving as important capital for future careers. Similar statements were also conveyed by other volunteers, who admitted to gaining increased confidence, communication skills, and teamwork experience while serving taxpayers.
From the service user side, the existence of the Tax Corner also received positive responses. One USB YPKP lecturer, Nurwathi, S.T., M.T., revealed that the tax volunteer service was very helpful in the SPT reporting process because it was carried out gradually, clearly, and communicatively. She also hoped that this program can continue to be implemented sustainably because it provides convenience, especially for the academic community who need assistance in tax administration.
The Tax Volunteer for the Nation program itself is part of the DJP's efforts to increase taxpayer compliance while expanding tax education to the public. Through student involvement, this program also becomes a medium for strengthening academic competence aligned with the needs of the workforce.
Previously, the USB YPKP Tax Center had also carried out similar programs through the opening of Tax Corners providing SPT reporting assistance for the campus academic community and the public, as a real contribution of the university in supporting national development through the tax sector.
Through active participation in this program, Universitas Sangga Buana YPKP affirms its commitment to integrating education, field practice, and community service, in order to produce competent, adaptive graduates ready to contribute to national development.
